Janet Carson is best known as the expert with all the answers in her weekly column "In the Garden" for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

Carson, who since 1992 has worked as the Extension Horticulture Specialist at the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service, provides information to 75 counties of the state in all areas of horticulture related to home gardening. Though knowledgeable on many plant problems, she's an expert on the beautiful ornamentals that Arkansans are so fond of growing. She also appears on KARN and the Arkansas Radio Network each Saturday to offer her expertise to listeners.

Janet will appear with landscape designer Chris Olsen on Sunday, June 13 and will answer questions from the audience. She is also working on a book for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette that will be a collection of her best "In the Garden" columns and plans are to release the book at the Arkansas Women's Show.
